Editorial Policy

Our Editorial Principles

Cyber Play is an editorial content publisher committed to accuracy, transparency and usefulness to the reader. This policy describes how we produce, edit and publish our content.

1. Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is produced independently:

  • Advertisers do not influence our coverage. Total separation between newsroom and commercial
  • Sponsored content when it exists, is always clearly identified as “Partnership”, “Sponsored” or “Commercial content”
  • We never accept payment to write positive reviews or remove critical content
  • We don’t allow paid links in editorial articles without proper identification as advertising

2. Production Process

2.1. Editorial Planning

Stories are defined based on:

  • Relevance to our audience
  • Genuine public interest
  • Gaps in quality information in the market
  • Suggestions received from readers through the contact channel
  • Trend and popular search research

2.2. Research and Fact-Checking

Before publishing, we verify:

  • Multiple primary and official sources (government sites, institutions, public documents)
  • At least 2 independent sources for important factual claims
  • Updated data (rates, values, dates) confirmed on publication date
  • Statements attributed to experts identified by name, position and institution

2.3. Writing

  • Accessible language, without unnecessary technical jargon
  • Clear structure with introduction, development and conclusion
  • Clear separation between fact and opinion
  • Diverse perspectives when the topic is controversial

2.4. Review and Editing

Every article goes through:

  • Factual review — checking data, names, dates, values
  • Spelling and grammar review
  • SEO review — structure, titles, meta-description
  • Legal review for sensitive topics (health, finance, legal)

3. Sources and Attribution

  • We always cite sources — primary when possible, with direct links
  • We never plagiarize. All content is original or duly licensed
  • Direct quotes are marked with quotation marks and attributed to the source
  • Statistical data comes with source and reference date
  • Images with visible credits or properly verified free-use

4. Bylines and Author Transparency

Every article published on Cyber Play is signed by the author or the editorial team. Regular authors have a public profile with:

  • Photo and biography
  • Specialties and coverage areas
  • Contact channels (professional social networks)

5. Conflicts of Interest

If an author or editor has financial, personal or professional interest in a topic:

  • The relationship is publicly disclosed in the article
  • Preferably, the story is assigned to another professional without the conflict
  • We never write about companies we invest in without disclosing that fact

6. Content Updates

Articles with information that changes over time (rates, dates, values):

  • Receive a visible last-updated date
  • Are periodically reviewed by the editorial team
  • When substantial changes occur, they are flagged with explanatory note

7. Corrections and Errata

When errors are identified:

  • They are corrected immediately
  • An erratum note is added at the end of the article (when the error is substantial)
  • We publicly acknowledge the error and inform readers

See our full Correction Policy.

8. Comment Moderation

Comments are moderated to maintain a respectful environment. We remove:

  • Hate speech, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny
  • Threats, harassment or doxxing
  • Spam, malicious links or unauthorized advertising
  • Clearly false information or misinformation

9. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Cyber Play uses AI tools as an aid in research, grammar correction and draft generation — but all published content goes through human review by qualified professionals. We never publish 100% AI-generated content without editorial verification.

10. Diversity and Inclusion

We are committed to:

  • Reflecting diversity of perspectives in our content
  • Representing different social groups with dignity and accuracy
  • Avoiding stereotypes and discriminatory language
  • Seeking diversity among our sources and interviewees

11. Reader Feedback

Our reader is a fundamental part of the editorial process. We value:

  • Story suggestions
  • Fact corrections
  • Constructive criticism about our coverage
